[Review] Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, book 1) by Charlaine Harris

I loved, loved, loved the HBO show based on this book series. Years ago, after I finished the television shows, I picked up the first book, expecting to love it. At the time, I couldn't get through the first chapter. The writing felt too basic and clunky. But recently, I came across the audiobook. Remembering how much I loved the show, I decided to try the audiobook. Johanna Parker did a fantastic job with the narration, bringing so much personality and dept to the book that I found myself completely immersed in it.

A compelling, supernatural story. I'd strongly suggest the audiobook version for this one.
