[Review] Why Are People Into That? A Cultural Investigation of Kink by Tina Horn
This book is a thoughtful examination of some of societies lesser known/practiced kinks. Slow and scholarly, with some excellent moments of social commentary.

Written from a transmasculine nonbinary perspective, this memoir is an exploration of what it means to grow up Black and queer. Very raw, authentic, and thought provoking, with an incredible amount of illuminating information, including a lot of good commentary on socially ascribed gender roles—with particular emphasis on Black expectations—and the difficulties involved in growing up/being trans.

What an enlightening read! Extremely informative and encompassing. This book is a solid foundation for learning about the many different genders—the past and the present of gender roles and labeling within various social structures. Lots of research and science, but everything is presented clearly. There are even notations in the margins that help further clarify some of the more complex ideas.

Educational and interactive. There was a lot of great information, presenting in a clear and concise manner. And finding the key figures in the illustrations is a great way to reinforce learning.

A beautiful, brave, and unabashedly candid retelling of Hackford's descent into the realm of BDSM.

Wowza! This is, hands down, my favorite graphic novel, to date. It was also the most banned book of 2022.
