[Review] In the Tunnel by Julie Lee

Wow. This book tells the story of a boy's life leading up to and during the Korean War. Impactful and moving. Lee absolutely captures the bleakness of life as a refugee of war. Harrowing and emotional with a tear-jerker ending.

There is also a lot of good historical information interwoven in the story. And one thing us book nerds will notice and appreciate, is that Lee begins many of her chapters with famous literary quotes, which then become somewhat of a theme for that chapter.

Lots of good stuff here.

I Did It !

I chose to read a banned book---Gender Queer: A Memoir by Maia Kobabe. This one happened to be the most banned book of 2022.

Fantastically good. I encourage everyone to give it a read.
