An engaging and thought-provoking, mystery/thriller/technology-based horror. Great mystery and thriller aspects. But, even though this is classified as a horror, I found the horror aspect mild. There were a few creepy scenes and one particularly unnerving one, but I don't think I would naturally classify this as horror.
Great writing, as always, from Koontz. But, as far as stories go, this one felt a bit unoriginal.
For Halloween, I wanted more horror. But for any other random month, this is a good mystery and thriller.
