[Review] The Chestnut Man by Søren Sveistrup

I have mixed feelings about this book. Good descriptive details and some appropriately brutal scenes. Overall, the writing is very good. However, I found it a bit stiff and technical, almost academic—a bit dry for my tastes.

Very plot driven. The character development was thin, so I had a hard time engaging with any of the characters. Also, there were a lot of characters and moving parts, which led to a fair amount of initial confusion.

A long book, but a good conclusion if you manage to stick with it.

Favorite Quote:  ...he's traipsing around in the woods somewhere north of Copenhagen, where the rain falls like bolts of iron and pins everything to the ground.
