[Review] The Kaiju Preservation Society by John Scalzi

Loved this book! Clean, focused writing and a great flow. The writing and dialogue felt completely natural—unforced. And the plot was gripping, from the first page right through to the end.

Diverse and interesting characters with distinct personalities. A light tone, with humorous moments that left me laughing out loud. And in the end, it kept me up way past my bedtime, because I couldn't put it down.

And just an aside: This is one of the very few books that I've read where I thought, “I completely vibe with this author. I can tell by the way he writes that he is an awesome person in real life.”

This was a very good and worthwhile read. I'll be looking for more books by Scalzi.
