A good continuation in the Daughters of Eville series. Like the first book, this is a very loose fairy-tale retelling. In this book, readers get a new and unique take on the Cinderella story.
There is plenty of action and intrigue. And there is even a pretty good twist in this book. However, I didn't love the main character in this one. There were some inconsistencies with her personality, and overall she felt kind of weak and petty/superficial/entitled. Unfortunately, she wasn't the only character that felt flat. Many of the characters in this one felt rather stereotypical.
In the end, I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first, but it was still an entertaining read.
