Molly Harper books are always fun, light reads with good supernatural elements. And when I need something light and distracting—amidst some dryer, heavier reads—Harper never fails to entertain and delight.
Like other Harper books, this one had interesting characters and a nice amount of whimsy. There were fun, supernatural elements; themes of family and found family; suspense, action, mystery, and some clean romance.
Engaging and relaxing. This book was a nice reset amidst a reading slump.
