[Review] Every Poem a Potion, Every Song a Spell by Stephanie Parent

Fantastic, exciting, engaging, with beautiful evocative imagery. This book celebrates womanhood, with a particular emphasis on the tribulations that accompany it. Dark and angsty vibes. Superb storytelling that exists somewhere between the magic and brutality of fairy tales and real life.

This is a great collection of poetry. Contemplative, without being pretentious. Accessible, without being basic. Simple storytelling and deep metaphors.

Genres: Fiction, Poetry
