This was my third reading of the book, and I think I appreciated it more, this time around.
It is an interesting read—very different than most books—in that the story is preposterously wild and over-the-top. It has formed the backbone of many interpretive pieces of literature and cinema, many of which I have preferred to the original. However, the charm and wit of this book isn't necessarily the story, but the saturation of clever word-play.
Read this one for the love and joy of language.
