A short story, fitting for the Halloween season. There is a good blending of science, baseball, journalism and the supernatural. It felt a bit slow in places, but I loved some of the diction and found many of Tremblay's sentences noteworthy.
My one criticism is that, as a short story, it felt like the book was just getting started by the time it finished. The ending was overly abrupt and left me wanting more.
