For a classic from 1883, this book stands the test of time pretty well—the content is generally non-offensive. Lighthearted and full of jest.
However, the book did feel slow to me (and it's a long one). I had a hard time really engaging with it. But, that being said, I think this was written for a mainly male audience as the plot revolves around the shenanigans of a group of men led by Robin Hood.
Decent. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. Still, for a classic, it's one of the better ones.
Genres: Historical Fiction, Classics
Note: This was originally intended as a children's book; however, I have some serious doubts that this would be fitting for modern children. The language, and even some of the subject matter, seems more appropriate for an older audience.
