An absolute delight. The characters in this book were wonderful—so quirky and unique. I loved them all (except the obnoxious Raymond), with my favorite being the hag, Odge.
There's a lot of good subtext in this book too. It is a story about character—kindness and generosity vs spoiled selfishness. It's also a reminder not to pre-judge people, be it appearance, race, age, etc.
A rollicking adventure with so many laugh-out-loud moments, great characters, a fast and engaging plot, and some good life lessons. This book was a real joy.
