Captivating and fast paced. This had all the feel of a classic witch story, but with modern and diverse characters. I kept thinking, as I was reading it, what a great book-to-screen adaptation this book would make. I do hope to see it done one day.
I will note that this book did start out a bit rocky for me. There was a lot of information and characters right out of the gate. It felt like a bit of an information overload. But once I got it all sorted, it was a pretty smooth read.
A very good debut, that's perfect for the witching season.
