[Review] The Hobbit (The Lord of the Rings, book 0.5) by J.R.R Tolkien (1937)

This book is such a classic. It kind of speaks for itself. Much of modern fantasy has incorporated different elements from Tolkien's novels.

Needless to say, the writing is great. The worldbuilding and character development are both stellar. Even the different races are well-developed and unique, each with their own idiosyncrasies.

This book remains one of the hallmarks of fantasy literature.
