Weird and quirky. This book has some serious Alice in Wonderland vibes, with its alternate reality and its leaning towards the silly and absurd.
Excellent writing. Compelling storytelling. And a distinct flare for the fantastic. This is a bit of a dark fairy tale, but there is also some deep commentary on the inadequacies of modern life.
