[Review] The Last Chinese Chef by Nicole Mones

This story is a beautiful love letter to food, Chinese culture, and to second chances.

The plot was solid and the characters were compelling. But more than that, I love being educated while also being entertained and this book did exactly that. For anyone interested in cooking, or food in general, this book is full of information about China's culinary past and present. And it really approaches cooking as a form of art, paying high tribute to the geniuses of the industry.

A slow and thought-provoking read that educated and delighted me. And by the end, I had fallen in love with China.
