Another amazing book by Klune—further proof that he is a master of character development. The characters are all unique, deep, and very human. I loved their quirks and interpersonal relations, which all feel fluid and unforced. You can't help but laugh with them, love them, and cry for them—for both their losses and their joys.
Not only does this book have great characters, it also has a very compelling plot. It is futuristic and scifi, but it is also deep and thought provoking. It challenges readers with some tough philosophical questions: What makes us human? What is happiness? How do you forgive? What is home?
At its core, this is a book about what it means to be human. I absolutely loved it. If you haven't read Klune yet, read him! He is fantastic.
